Long before the first buildings were constructed, the future of Aalto University’s campus existed only as ideas, sketches and architectural visions.

The Campus2015 competition brought together 189 proposals from around the world, creating an extraordinary collection of concepts for what would eventually become the heart of Aalto University.

I designed the publication documenting the competition process, jury evaluations and selected entries. The challenge was not only the volume of material, but also creating a structure that allowed readers to navigate complex architectural content without losing sight of the bigger picture.

The final publication transformed hundreds of pages of evaluations, drawings and competition material into a cohesive narrative about the future of a university and the role design plays in shaping it.
